Sudden departures

My school (and area)is filled with this type of situation. It has happened to me four times so far this year, and about 15 or so others in our grade. Some kids are there for just a few months, or even weeks. One little boy had switched schools like fifteen times. We almost never have any notice at all. It is very sad for us and even sadder for the kids because they don't know that they are going either. (They leave money and everything behind when we clean out their desks.) Take heart in knowing that you did your best to touch their lives. That's what I do.
