Sometimes it just doesn't happen

I too am a student teacher and you are not alone. Everyone has a bad lesson now and then. Sometimes it has nothing to do with what you taught or how you taught it. The students could just be having an "off" day due to something happening at school such as a party or program etc... You are right about reflecting though. It is very important because you can learn so much about yourself and your students. Keep in mind though that the lesson you taught to your students this year may be appropriate for another group of students down the road, so don't be too hard on yourself!!! Keep trying!
