Ideas for reading
By Kellie

Clip to ScrapBook
My students really love books about animals. Why not link what you are studying in science or social studies to your discovery theme. Animal books are easy to find and there is plenty to discover. You could send home some kind of log for recording not only minutes, but facts that they discovered while reading to then share with their classmates. Maybe a stuffed animal could travel along on Fridays to make it something they will remember to do over the weekend. Or you may want to share one animal and take turns sending it home during your RAMM time.

Other themes: winter, families, math, food, music...
Have fun!
