Memory
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Michelle,
Before you work more on memory, reflect upon what you're wanting your students to remember. Is it something they might easily find by using the internet or other print resource? If so, perhaps it's not worth the time to memorize. Are you thinking of using the information for a higher level purpose? Let them use their notes, book, etc. to apply (or higher level Bloom's) the information in some way. See Strategies That Work for specific higher level strategies good readers use that will move them well beyond literal recall. Also, Cognitively Guided Instruction for math. If you can't locate these, email or post again. Best of luck. ;-D
