Hi there,
You sound like you are on the ball and will make a great teacher! Hang in there Your time will come (hopefully soon!). One thing I would advise you is to not bring up any health problems in an interview unless you are directly asked about your marks (which I doubt you will be). Hang in there and bring that excitement you feel when you think about getting your first classroom into the interview room, that energy will make more of an impression than an explanation of marks from over a year ago.
