First have the kids fill out the sheet as they read it like a reader, checking off questions and predictions that get answered and noting connections (t-t text to text, t-s text to self, t-w text to world) Then have them read like a writer, noting voice, good word choices, conventions, details that build the main ideas, new and interesting vocab.
