You will have to tell the children their old way will not work any more, they need to practice for second grade. MOdel correct behavior, stop as soon as it is not what you want. I use the if you can hear me touch your chin and freeze strategies alot. I also use Cathy Dee's secret student, you secretly pick two people and if they are good in line or during a time they get an award, I bought a lot of pencil eraser toppers. At first I told them I was picking names, now I don't tell them I am watching my secret students. I only do this every few days now when I remember.
