Well, here in New England the temperatures have hovered in the low single digits all week and have dipped down below zero F frequently, so we've been in basically every day since we came back from Christmas break. Today, virtually every district in the state is shut down (no school) because the temperatures are -10 to -15 F with windchills around -35 F. The Dept. of Ed said there was significant danger for any child who might have to wait for a school bus or walk since frostbite can occur in less than ten minutes in these temperatures.Soooooo, since we have Monday off for Martin Luther King's birthday, this is an extra long weekend.
