Okay, here's my two cents worth. We do this because we love working with children. If we had wanted to deal with grown up people we would do something else. Most pricipals started out as teachers so they probably feel the same way. I have always been PAINFULLY shy and I was terrified of interviewing,too. We've had to move alot so I've interviewed a lot. I always start by saying that I can teach 30 kids without any problems, but that speaking to a group of adults makes me nervous. I've never had a pricipal who didn't understand and I've been offered a job at every school at which I've interviewed. Be yourself- that's who they'll be hiring!
