Clip to ScrapBook
Whether it's right or not teachers are role models. Our students need to be able to respect us. While I think that what a person does privately should remain private, if a person does something publicly, they should expect to deal with the concequences. For example, if spend my weekends partying and sleeping with random strangers, that is nobody's business but my own and I shouldn't lose my jobs because a school board member happened to see me in a bar and didn't like what he saw. However, if I go to a concert in the park where there will families ( and possibly my students) present and proceed to get drunk and disorderly, I'm asking for trouble and I deserve it.
