You seem to understand where I'm coming from! I found many studies that support grade "acceleration," and only one that was against (and that was a study of kids sent to school early because their PARENTS wanted them to go, not because they seemed ready). After doing this research, I wanted to hear from real teachers. I appreciate the good advice that's been offered, but since everyone here said "no" about skipping, I decided to post some "yes" myself. I wasn't trying to step on anyone, just putting forth the other side!He was tested before Kindergarten for early entrance, and a skip into _first_ was suggested (by the principal) then. I declined, because then he was just too young!
