Once Noble Profession
By Cathie

Clip to ScrapBook
I have a few students in my class who are bigger than I am (I teach 5th grade). They are also the "gonna-have-the-last-word" group. Once two of them refused to stay in their seats. When I "told" them to take a seat and grow roots, one calmly replied, "I don't think you can legally make me sit down." The other went to stand beside her, put her hands on her hips and added, "Yea, that's right." I replied, "Maybe, but I know one thing I can legally do...and that's take you to the principal's office." Thank goodness I've a wonderful principal who kept them in her office for the remainder of the morning.

All in a day, I guess.
