One of my students is continuously sleepy, yawning, eyes drooping, lethargic and unable to follow directions because he can't pay attention. When I brought this to the parents' attention in November, they were shocked! Later on, mom admitted the little cherub goes to bed at 11:00pm ...if she's lucky. I gave her some tips on how to get him to bed earlier but alas...it's now March and he's still groggy. She tells me that's just the way he is. He won't go to bed any earlier. I'm frustrated with this mom, annoyed with the child and I don't know how to help matters any. I honestly feel as though I'm doing all I can...my hands are tied. Any ideas?
