I NEED ATTENTION
By Rachel

Clip to ScrapBook
...is what he's saying. Give him attention another way. He is really enjoying the fact that this is something that only HE does. Let him show that there is something else he can do well. Until then, or if this doesn't work, help him appreciate how much must be done to keep a room clean. Let him stay with you during recess or lunch, and help to straighten up the room. Also, during this time, there will be noone else to get attention from other than you, and you can decide if this is what he ultimately wanted, or if it's attention from his peers that he craves. Maybe you can subtly start grossing him out while others arent' around, after all, they wouldn't believe him!
