    That sounds like my first year of teaching seventh and eighth grade science. I had previous experience with this age and was shell-shocked by by them after the first class was over. To cut to the point, I spent most of the first few months scared to death.

    I barely noticed anything but the material I was trying to teach. At the end of the first semester, I was changing the posters on the front of my presentation area and noticed a bunch of tiny wads of paper stuck all over my posters! The students had been shooting spit wads at me for who knows how long and I was too petrified to notice!

    I look back and laugh now, but I was motified then!
