I collect Depression Glass, head vases (just starting on that), old sheet music (especially Irving Berlin), vinyl record albums (especially musical theater cast recordings and movie sound tracks), and anything with lighthouses. I love to go to auctions and estate sales and have found some pretty good deals. I'm not an impulse bidder, fortunately. I enjoy the "hunt" for the missing pieces in my dish collection. I, too, have found some great things for my classroom at auctions and yard sales for very little money. Sometimes you have to be creative about what you use it for. Many times I don't have a use in mind when I get something, just a "feeling" and most of the time I have found a use for it before long.
