Days Too Long
By SC

Clip to ScrapBook
Also, school days and periods between breaks are too long. Very rarely are these lengthy periods broken up by something interesting. It's like we have the two hour block in the morning, the two hour block between recess and lunch, and the almost two hour block after lunch. All we ever do during these times is activity after activity mandated by our reading and math series. And apparently in the "olden days," after lunch was for subjects like music, art, P.E., science, and social studies. Now we're still doing reading, writing, and math, and the kids are fried. I always say my day would be so great if we could just send the kids home after lunch. The late afternoon is just torture for all of us.
