Gr. 4 silliness
By Carol

Clip to ScrapBook

I've taught Gr. 4 for 14 years now. I love it! I have success talking to the kids about our classroom problems, yours being silliness. You might tell the kids that you like to teach the 'hands-on' way, but their silliness is causing problems for their learning. Try the fun way again, but be prepared with worksheets right away if they get silly.
The learning of others might be being hampered by just a few students. Talk to them separately. You might tell them they need to earn your trust again before they are allowed the privilege of joining in "the fun". Show them your concern for their learning and the learning of others. Show them your love of them, and of teaching the fun way!
