being the smallest student
By Meaghan

Clip to ScrapBook
All through K-12, I was always the smallest in the class. It had a lot of disadvantages and hurts associated with it. I was always the last picked at gym. I couldn't keep up with the other kids. I, like your son, was very sensitive and it hurt a lot when I picked on, for my size or other things.

Something for you to consider, are most of your son's current friends older, younger, or in the same grade as he is? That information will give you some insight as to how he might fare with older students.

It's for you to decide of course, but it sounds like a lot of teachers are suggesting he stay in his own grade level.

Good luck with your decision.
