Your responses have been tremendous help! Thank you. Any more input from others will always be greatly appreciated. I really am depressed and so confused about what to do. I am sure it doesn't help that I am young and am the only non married teacher who happens to not be a parent yet. Most other colleagues have been teaching for 30 some years, have families of their own and never seem to be doing any planning. The school empties out at 3:45, I am almost the last one to leave everyday. Planning alone all the time is getting frustrating. Opening up my planbook every Sunday makes me nauseous. I think I'd be doing better if my mentor helped in some way or I had a grade level partner to bounce ideas and lessons off of.
