The school I teach at has uniforms (my son also attends the school). As a teacher and parent I went into it thinking I was pro uniform. To be honest, and it probably sounds silly, I get tired of looking at the same clothes day in and day out. As a mom, the uniform clothes for some reason are VERY hard to clean after a 2nd grade boys hard days work at recess lol! Picking clothes out for him is a snap, although it gets boring. Hmmm...do we do red shirt blue pants or blue shirt khaki pants? :o) Not much variation. But, I guess the pros outweigh the cons. They do save money and the kids can't tell who can afford name brand clothes and who can't. I am just glad the teachers don't have to wear them.
