Yup, had that exact kind of day with the same grade and my nerves were frazzled and I was totally mentally and physically exhausted at the end of the day. Had one student who was autistic however the teacher never left any info on him at all...man, he got into stuff..at one point he had the math links tied around his neck, ruined his binder with permanent markers, and I had a tug of war with him with the stapler...to name just a few incidents!
But yeah, the class was terrible. This is my third year subbing and I've mostly been picking and choosing who I sub for. If I get called for that class again it's no way!!!!! I have no idea how to get them quiet....so I'd like to know too!
