conjugating verbs
By Grammar Queen

Clip to ScrapBook
You're a teacher?!?!?! The correct past tense form of _to see_ is _saw_, not _seen_. _Seen_ is the past participle and should be used ONLY with an auxiliary verb. (e.g. "I have seen other episodes on this topic.") I guess
I should put this on the VENT board, but no wonder the public lacks respect for the teaching profession if our teachers do not know how to use the English language.

By the way, I don't mean this as a flame. It just really infuriates me that we as a society pay so little attention to correct grammar and form.

I overlook many things on these boards because I know people type fast

and don't take time to look up things; so there are misspellings and other mistakes. But the correct conjugation of verbs should be second nature to teachers.
