Morning work is math skills
By Tanya

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach fourth and feel tremendous pressure to get these kids prepared for March testing. They have a math worksheet every morning to do that is skill appropriate as we move through the year. Right now I'm giving 2-digit
by 2-digit multiplication to reinforce skills for some and to give others a chance to practice and master. If a child doesn't pass then the work is sent home for signature and corrections. I use a web site that I love to create worksheets (and they come with answer sheets too). That site is www.scottbryce.com/mathwork/. The nice thing about teaching a skill and then doing morning work
is now we can skip the multiplication chapter as we move along. I don't know about other tests but it seems that we're expected to teach the entire 4th grade curriculum before the March test.
