punish work
By Nick

Clip to ScrapBook
Ok, I understand your concern over too much punishment. But, how many times has the teacher had to ask her not to chew gum?

I've never had a problem with chewing gum. It's not allowed at our school.

I disagree with the above poster. Parents should not go over the teacher's head until they can't resolve the problem togther. Your child has to spend seven more months together. I'd suggest you stay in the teacher's good graces. It could be taken out on your child.

I'm not trying to stir up the pot, but my child attends the same school as I teach. So, I get to see a lot of different sides of the coin.

Also, if your kid doesn't want punish work, then she should follow the rules. Chewing gum is an easy problem to solve. Don't let her bring any to school.
