Amen, J!!!!!!
By Janice

Clip to ScrapBook
I couldn't have said it better myself. All too often, the principals blame the teacher because they don't want to blame the parents. Blaming the parents would set a group of people against them, hence their job would be
in jeopardy. Can't anger the parents!

My feeling is that this first-year principal I have could have done so much more to tell the students that the teacher is in charge! These kids are rowdy and disrespectful and a have no proper upbringing. They bring their attitudes to school with them.

As J says, there are too many children in a classroom, too many mainstreamed (who are so

far below grade level that they "act out" in frustration), and other issues.

As J says, principals are too far removed from reality, since they haven't been in the classroom for so long. Heck, some BECOME principals because they can't handle the classroom.
