In our district we have had the junior high band, the high school band, the high school jazz band, the junior high school chorus, one of the choral grouops from the high school and our own 6th grade chorus perform for the school.
Before the Holiday break, we had a group sing-a-long, which is something that could actually be done anytime of the year.
Some of the uppergrades have also done assemblies as part of the culmination of a unit. We have also had talent shows at the end of the year. Check with parents for ideas. One family brought in their trained dogs and gave a demonstration on how to train | |
a dog to do tricks. A local father & karate instructor offered to do a demonstration for free if we allowed him to hand out flyers advertising his new school.
Our local conservation district also offers free assemblies or presentations.
