I think we can be a little more supportive of your position. I probably would have hung up on the mother when she got nasty. Since he is not ADHD, he gets the consequences of all the other students. I'm glad your principal
is supportive. A video might do the trick. Do you have confirmation from the doctor or just from the mother as to what the doctor said? Can your guidance or special ed people make an informal observation or verification for your sake? I do not like to medicate either however we are in a modern age and medications are available to treat all kinds of things including children not
capable of school behavior. Perhaps you should consider how many phone calls you are going to get when other parents become upset that their child is exposed to this disruption and their test results are low. Good luck to you, you are doing the best you can with the circumstances.
