the mother had her child tested and found to be LD correct? you say dyslexic but that is not a diagnosis so first you need to get the papers from the mom and read them....I'm betting the diagnosis is Learning disabled....if
that is true then the mom needs to call the director of special ed and request/demand an IEP for her child so that he can attend the resource room. It should be that simple....when the mom calls the director of special ed she should also tell that person what has transpired at your school and how they feel the child should not have services but how her child is only passing
because of the accomodations that you have made for her child in the classroom and while she's at it she could say that you agree that her child needs the time in the resource room. post back if this doesn't solve your problem but it should....
