pepperment almond bark
By dot

Clip to ScrapBook
In our house we make batches of peppermint almond bark for the teachers & deliver them in cute boxes, re-usable plastic containers or a coffe mugs. The kids love to bang the heck out of the peppermints with my meat tenderizer!
Purchse
peppermint candy (candy canes sre good) and white almond bark. White almond bark is like white chocolate & should be readily available this time of year. Unwrap & smash/crush the peppermint cady into small pieces. This can be done using a zip lock bag inside a zip lock bag & hitting it with a meat tenderizer. Melt the almond bark in a double boiler or the microwave.
If using the microwave, use short periods of time & stir it up as the blocks have a tendency to keep their shape. Pour the crushed candy into the bark and stir. Spread out in a thin layer on a foil lined cookie sheet (or 2). Allow to cool and then break it apart into serving sized pieces.
