Money...
By Ally

Clip to ScrapBook
It would easily be $300...stickers, any little prizes I give out, resourse books for me, books for students in our class library, extra craft supplies, supplies for students who do bring them to school, bulletin boards and
other room decorations...the list is endless!

I have found that I do spend less than I did in my first few years, mostly because I know more teachers now and I can borrow a resource or two, instead of always purchasing new...but those first few years, I bet it was close to $1000 (things like pocket charts, book caddies, art supply caddies...they all add up, but at least they last for

years)

And you know, so what if some teachers ONLY spend $20 per year of their own money. What other jobs necessitate your own money being spent? My husband is certainly reinbursed for all his "business expenses"...I wonder why some people always feel the need to pick on educators? Argh!
