Challenging
By Interested Teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Nicole and Everyone:

Nicole you bring up an interesting subject and one that we all should explore. I have read, and continue to read, every book and article on the subject of teaching children to read. Plus, I have
attended a Four-Blocks workshop too.

From my experience and from what I've read, I think that there is no one right way to teach reading. There are a lot of factors that are part of the equation.

I was wondering what books and research have any of you read? For example, have you read "Good-Bye Round Robin" by M. Opitz & T. Rasinski? I'm not suggesting that this book contains the

answers. But I will say that it does make you think. Hopefully, we can remain open to ideas that challenge our belief system...

I think it's great that you all are exchanging ideas and discussing such a crucial topic. Your students will benefit!

In the spirit of sharing,
Interested Teacher
