1. parents who don't support you or their children by encouraging personal responsibility & parents who don't care for their children's physical needs properly (diet, dress, sleep) 2. students whose lives are so small because they spend so much time watching TV that they don't read, do homework, play outside, help others, etc... (this also makes them expect to be entertained as well as exposing them to violence and inappropriate language) Another general problem: Now, not to sound too negative because I actually enjoy my job a lot. I just find the parents (some of them) SO frustrating and I also find it frustrating that my students don't take a natural interest in the outdoors, reading, etc... It makes for a good challenge for me to motivate them!
