I have one very good reason and it's because family services is not very discrete. When I did make a call to family services division they were not discrete about their inquiry and the parent knew that the report had come
from me. It was a very messy situation with the parent making threats on me and being escorted off the school property. Nothing ever came of the case because they were seen once and were able to manipulate themselves through the system.
I have a student this year who I'm pretty sure is being neglected. Do I have any proof---no so I can't really do anything. It is a very sad situation.

I do know of another family who we have pretty clear cut proof that it is ocurring but yet our administrator doesn't want us to report it. I'm not directly involved in this case but if the child was in my room he I would make the call even if their were reprecussions from the parents.
