Get A Special Educ Endorsment =Guaranteed Job!
By My Professor Says

Clip to ScrapBook
My professor tells us that Spec Ed teachers are in super high demand - they are more in demand than any other job in the world (nurses are #2) and if you are a Spec Ed teacher, schools are so reluctant to let you go, that
sometimes they won't - so be careful who you contract with.
In case you think it is an unpleasant job - it really isn't - most of the kids are in the resource room for 'minor' things, like delayed reading or speech therapy. My daughter is in a special preschool - and until she tries to talk, you would never guess that anything was amiss.

Also, there are usually several teachers in

there at a time, so it's a more pleasant environment for you too, they get the best materials, the greatest freedom to experiment, and can focus on small groups at a time. You could also pick up little things like reading & ESL certificates.

Another thing - maybe you can volunteer with Ameri-Corps or Peace-Corps - that would be a shiny little star on your resume!
