looping 3 and 4

Love it! This is our 3rd year looping. I work with 5 other teachers. This year, 3 of us are teaching 3rd and 3 of us are teaching 4th. We are under the strict Kentucky assessment requirements, and looping has really addressed
so many of our previous needs. When you advance your students to 5th grade, you have really become such a family. We love it here, and our test scores were higher with our previous looping team than it had ever been before.
The only con that I can mention, is that of course you come across a student every now and then that you just cannot imagine living with for the next

2 years. We work that out here on our team and it all comes out in the wash. Knowing that we will all be "living together for 2 years" helps set the mind frame that we need to be cooperative. My team always starts the 3rd grade looping sequence with a big Friendship/Cooperation thematic unit to set the stage.
