By Stacy Steele

Clip to ScrapBook
your child will need to be able to point to and recognize letters of the alphabet out of sequence.

example S E Y R L
capital letters/uppercase
little letters/ lowercase
d, f, r, a , z

Your child should also be able to recognize and point to numbers 1-30 out of sequence.

Both of these shoud be accomplished by the end of the kindergarten school year.

There are also words your child will memorize. We call them site words. Instantly your child should recognize these words:
I
my
like
see
to
a
mom
dad
cat
dog

again,

this is by the end of kinder
writing the alphabet and numbers on paper is something they should be able to do at the end of kinder.

my three year old has practiced using scissors, tape and glue. he's pretty good but it took a lot of practice. that's the key to all of what we do in kindergarten, practice!
