Losing a student
By Ally

Clip to ScrapBook
I know how you feel as one of my students left our school with no notice. Just before Christmas break, he came in and said his family was moving and today was his last day. I had not heard anything from his family and since
it was mid week, I thought he must be mistaken...but sure enough, at recess I checked with the secretary and his mum had just called in to ask that his stuff be packed up! This was the most abrupt departure I had ever seen. He was so sad to leave and the other kids were upset as well, especially since it was just so sudden!

I understand that families have to move but a little notice

please! We could have planned a little going away party or at the very least, made him a card to take with. We did make him one later and sent it along with his school reports but it felt like not enough.

Sorry you lost two kids...you are right...it does stink!
