Clip to ScrapBook
I know how you must be feeling. A similiar thing happened to my oldest in 3rd and it was a difficult time for us. However, I really don't think there is much you can do, unless your state has very different policies than
mine. The only thing I can think of....you said the original teacher was fighting her doctors to come back to school...well, if she is not physically able to teach than you might have an arguement. If this teacher is tenured it will be a long process if the teacher chooses to fight it. I would explain to your child just what has happened and that her former teacher(sub) is not deserting
her. I would positively support her and listen carefully to how she is adjusting to her new situation. Luckily, she will still have her classmates. If you have a open relationship with your child you will learn exactly how she feels. I would not let her hear any negative vibes from you, even though you are not happy about the situation....it would only make it harder for her to adjust.
