get them moving
By Cathy

Clip to ScrapBook
Take questions from your review sheets and type them on large index cards. Place a number on each and arrange them all around your classroom. (At the computer keyboard, on the chalk tray, near the tape recorder, etc...)
Have them number a sheet 1-10 or however many review cards you have placed. Tell them to walk around the room quietly looking for each card. They must finish each one and put the card back for the next person and return the sheet to you for correcting. Sometimes I have my kids do this in pairs or teams and they may not go to the next card until all are finished with the one they are
currently working on. If there is a group at the next card, they can just move to the next one and come back to those they may have missed. They really learn to help each other so they can move along! I did this last week as a vocab review and it was great hearing the kids remind each other of what the words meant and how I explained them during the lesson.
