RT Research
By Susie

Clip to ScrapBook
My district has earned a grant for RT. We are currently collecting data on our students who are and are not using RT in their classrooms. I'd be happy to get you in touch with the person in charge of the study.

As an active
user of RT, I can tell you that my experience is that the kids LOVE it, it motivates my low kids, excites the lazy ones, and the high kids really get into using expression. We've worked on converting stories from our reading series. I've found that the support books with the reading series often convert into scripts quickly and easily.

In our district, we've gotten together, and

converted the better stories from our reading series, and traded them so we don't all have to reinvent the wheel. Within our site, we share music stands and stools (although I prefer not to use them at all).

I hope that everyone will get the opportunity to try RT in their classrooms. I can't tell you how much fun it has been, and the parents always have positive comments about what their children are learning!
