UTA

Rachel,
The UTA website is www.uta.edu, and the college of education is www.uta.edu/soe. I would definatley reccoment coming to UTA to get your degree for education. We have several great programs for teachers. We are
also one of about 7 schools in the nation to apply for accredidation through NCATE. It's very prestigious to be accredited by them and we will find out soon! Anyways, you should talk to an advisor about which program you want to do and what those requirements are, because you can do Early Childhood through 4th grade, mid level or secondary, i think. I am doing EC-4th and we take classes
on child development, math/science for children, children's lit and many others and our senior year is our internship/residency. Fall-1 day/week at the elementary school and Spring Full time 5 days/week in the schools. We work with ArlingtonISD and Dallas ISD. I feel like I am being prepared very well for my profession and I hope you do come to UTA. Well I hope that helps a little. If you have any more specific questions, let me know.
