teachers get the blame
By J

Clip to ScrapBook
My experiences with principals (I was fired because of discipline problems) is that they will place the blame totally on the teacher claiming it is YOUR job and not their job.

Authoritarian principals are the biggest obstacle
to a productive relationship between students and the teacher. Too many heavy handed principals who have forgotten what it is like to have a rowdy class.

You aren't to be blamed. The problem is lack of support, too many in a classroom, mainstreaming, lack of parental support, fear of litigation, and other issues.

It seems like a principal's job is to BOSS teachers these days!

Many of them are a waste of money.

I won't go back to the classroom mainly because of principals. I don't like being ripped apart by someone who don't support me. I don't like someone sitting in the room and writing down every silly thing I have done wrong! It is all negative in so many cases. Too many principals set up first year teachers for failure. You never get appreciated or praised but it is ALL criticism. Imagine if we were that critical when evaluating student's work.
