schedule

Clip to ScrapBook
My day looks like this. . .
8:40 Students come in from playground, read the
daily message on the white board by the door
then sit down to do Daily Oral Language, Math,
or Geography
copying in cursive from the
overhead. This gives them something to do
while I greet students. When most are done
writing, we talk about the schedule for the day
writing it on our Daily Record Sheets (in home
work folders). Then I choose students randomly
by drawing sticks with their names
on them to
answer the question that was on the white board.
We stand, do the pledge, then leave for Art,
Music, or PE
9:45 Milk/juice/snack and listen to a story
10:00 Calendar (Math)
10:20 Math
11:00 Unit (Science, Social Studies,Health)
11:45 Recess
12:15 Lunch
12:45 DEAR time, or computer or LMC on specific
days
1:15-3 Reading/Writing/Language Arts Block
3:00 Discuss how the day went and dismiss by
3:10
