considerations

Your message sounds like you plan to apply to the same school you left. What about going somewhere different, where the principal(s) don't know you and where you could use references from your sub teaching?

Even if you're
going back to the same school, couldn't you supply the names of some of the principals for whom you've subbed as references?

My first year was tough for management (I had 8th grade on rotary) and I, like you, received almost no support from the administration. Changing schools (private to public) and grades (8th to 5th) was like starting over, and I haven't looked back since. I

almost gave up after that dreadful first year, and I won't use that principal as a reference.

So basically, I am suggesting maybe you'd be happier in a different school environment and/or grade. I can state with conviction that the principal is a HUGE factor in my success and happiness as a teacher- I will never interview again without checking out the principal carefully.

So be picky! And look for a school who will value you and support you. All the best.

Sarah
