they're growing
By Colleen

Clip to ScrapBook
Your cute little first graders are growing up and are now turning into second graders. They are in the "comfort zone". It's time to change some behavior plans that used to work at the beginning of the year. Try to remember
to get them up and moving more in the room. Give them more classroom responsiblities. The for the antsy ones I save papers and projects that I have corrected for them to pass back. I also save things that need to go back to the office, other teacher etc. to get them legally out of the room to give them a change of scenery. Be creative put their energy to work for you. Mine love
to clean have a spring cleaning moments so you can all get a grip.

My class earns tally point for being on task. I set a goal for them to reach in tallies for instance 50. If they reach that number by a certain time in the day then they get extra recess. It works because when they are on task we get all our work done for the day and there is extra time.
