Snow Days
By Kathy

Clip to ScrapBook
I live in southwest Washington and we've also had snow days. I'm at school right now (checking in on my classroom pets!) and from the looks of the roads I very much doubt we'll have school tomorrow either! (In fact, if I'd
known the roads were this bad I wouldn't have ventured out today even though I live less than a mile from school and just bought new snow tires!)

I'm using this time to get organized for the upcoming months. And I'm going to take enough home today so that I can work on school things as well. Might as well make things easier for the days to come.

Actually, I went out cross-country

skiing in the park behind my house yesterday and had great fun! (It's too cold and icy for snowplay today so I imagine cabin fever will set in for me before long as well!)

Usually I see snow days as a "gift of time," but I'd really rather have had this break around the middle of February when we needed it rather than tacked on to the end of Christmas vacation. Oh well, Mother Nature doesn't bend to my wishes!!
