Hot dots
By BeaJay

Clip to ScrapBook
Buy them!!!! They are worth the money. I use the cards that are made by the company but I also have about 25 other games made with them. I use them for synonyms, antonyms, homophones, multiplication facts, map questions,
etc. I take worksheets and and type each question so that there is one question on a full sheet of paper. Then I give them 4 answer choices. You can buy packages of extra hot dots to place in front of the answer choices. Laminate the sheets BEFORE you put the hot dots on. I group questions together in groups of ten, holes at top and held together by chicken rings or by binder rings.
Students can do this independently at their seats or if I want a grade two students work together. One student listens for the pen sounds and gives the grade while the other takes the test. The student grading can not see the questions and answers but can hear the responses from the pen. I hope all of this makes sense. I have 6 pens in my room and the kids love using them. It is one of the first independent centers that they pick. I say, "Buy them!" Let me know if I need to clarify any of this.
