My System

My System:I write on the board my behavior/discipline system, if the teacher does not already have a system (color cards, ect.), which is the Name & Check system. Name on Board = First Warning
Name -w- Check = Second Warning
Name -w- Two Checks = Consequence (
T.O., No Recess, ect.)
Name & Three Checks = Removal to another classroom -w- the possibility of return
-OR-
OUT of classroom & Removal to Office or another classroom for remainder of the day.I also write the Class behavior Grade (A,B,C,D) on the board to let the entire class know how they are doing. It constantly chages. I | |
also write ALL of the students names down & write something about each student & I give each student a Morning & Afternoon Behavior Grade to let each individual student know how he/she is doing.I am amazed at how well this works about 98% of the time. Students want & need feedback & some sort/kind of means to let them know about their behavior. It is interesting & fun to see their reactions when I increase or lower the class or individual grade. Many teachers I have substituted for have liked this. If it works - use it! JSB
