Quick meals
By Donna

Clip to ScrapBook
For the last couple months, my husband and I (2 preschoolers - no help there) make a menu for the week, followed by the grocery shopping for those items. I also do an afternoon of meatball-making when my supply runs low.
That way, we both know what to expect for supper & what we have to do for the meal. Sometimes it's all me when I get home, sometimes the slow cooker in the morning, sometimes whoever gets home first puts the first part into the oven, etc. It's been much easier because it is all planned. At times we plan into the schedule ordering supper in, buying a cooked BBQ chicken at the deli, etc.
or making changes due to whatever. We also take into account what might be happening in the evening and I make plans that certain days I need to be home a bit earlier and certain days (they may change each week) I am staying later. It has made suppers much less stressful and we are definitely eating healthier. Hardly any processed fish or chicken anymore!
Anyway, that is what has worked at my house. Good luck!

Donna
